FAQ

Can I make a reservation?

No. We do not take reservations. Guests are seated in order of arrival.

Is it easy to visit on my own?

Yes. The shop is bright and café-like, and about 40% of our guests are women. We have both counter and table seats.

How can I pay?

Cash only. Please buy a meal ticket at the ticket machine by the entrance first. Credit cards, e-money and QR code payments are not accepted.

What is the small cup of soup served with the chuka soba?

It is our special soup, made from the umami of shellfish and vegetables. Drink it first, then enjoy your chuka soba — the umami synergy makes it taste even better.

How do I order?

Buy a meal ticket at the ticket machine by the entrance, then take a seat.

What is the difference between oi-soba and kaedama?

Oi-soba is a small, seasoned mazesoba. You can eat it as it is, or add it to the soup left in your chuka soba. Kaedama is an extra serving of plain, unseasoned noodles.

It's my first visit. What do you recommend?

We recommend the Chuka Soba Shio most of all: seafood broth with our house-made noodles.

Is there a line?

On days when a new dish is released, there may be a line outside.

When are you closed?

On Wednesdays. We also close on some other days (New Year, staff training, etc.) and announce them on Instagram in advance.

Is there a last order time?

No. We serve until closing time.
